PROBLEMS CREATING POLITICAL TURMOIL IN INDIA & SOLUTIONS
With the brewing political crisis in Maharashtra, the political parties have once again started to resort to ‘resort politics.’ Eknath Shinde, along with a bunch of MLAs, is presently in a hotel in Guwahati and is expected to act as a barrier to the progress of the MVA government in Maharashtra. But what exactly is 'Resort politics' and why it is created in the Indian context? Let’s take a look: 'Resort politics' is the desperate measure taken by political parties to ensure that they have the support of their members. Usually, the members are gathered at a particular venue under the leadership of a party’s loyal member, and it is ensured that none of them is poached by other political parties this kind of political party shift in power happening all over India but we people should notice that there is the absence of people will in this process and there is no agenda to benefit for democracy.
WHY RESORT POLITICS ARE FREQUENTLY HAPPENING?
The Governance system is not useful only blindly following the British model of the Parliamentary executive system (west minister model) which says the state assembly has sovereignty over the executive (or) executive has sovereignty over the state assembly.
Actually In India, Prior is in the practice and present MLA are manipulating the intention why it is there in the constitution by this method chief minister of the respective state wants to protect his MLA to be in power so MLA by using this liberty on them MLA’s are taking the arbitrary action on the people they completely subverting the objective of MLA post (as people representation ) and behaving like a dictator this is the main reason behind the increase in false police cases & nexus between contractor and MLA, so MLA became a powerful person in present Indian political society so protecting him became at most priority to POLITICAL parties if political parties not fulfilled their demand he/she may become a rebel to the ruling political party and may cause political turmoil in the respective state
So parliamentary democracy is not working good at the state but is successful at the UNION level
STRUCTURAL SOLUTIONS FOR POLITICAL TURMOIL & BENEFITS
1)DIRECT ELECTIONS OF CHIEF MINISTERS
In this kind of election CHIEF MINISTERS are directly elected by people by this people actual interest (in the present system people are electing MLA by seeing CM candidate(or) PARTY NAME but not by observing the ability of MLA candidate assuming that so if they are not vote to this candidate irrespective of ability they party may be lost ) so under this direct election of Chief Minister is directly elected and MLA’s are also elected but the number of MLA’s elected under one party is not a mandate to make a chief minister.
2)DIVISION OF ASSEMBLY AUTHORITY & STATE AUTHORITY
As MLA’s are elected but not involved in elections of Chief minister, they are only limited to Assembly authority over the executive were their aim, the objective is limited to representing people, deliberative actions, questioning executive by these excessive powers of MLA’s are crushed and there will be less involvement of MLAs in the day-to-day administration of People by Executive
Population and economy of India are in the states so it very important to make stable governments at the state level the direct election of CHIEF MINISTER and separately electing MLA’s are one of the solutions to it & also boost the separation of power in the Indian parliamentary system countries like Ireland, Scotland which are earlier following Westminster model at the local level also changed to direct elections of mayor so direct elections will help India to take further this reforms not only stopping political turmoil but also money flow in assembly elections
